MAINTENANCE OF TURFGRASS DECORATIVE AND SPORTS ARTIFICIAL GRASS
DECORATIVE ARTIFICIAL GRASS
The Turfgrass Artificial Grass, as it is a synthetic product, requires a considerable inferior maintenance than natural grass; however, with the pass of time, some actions must be carried out to prolongue its consevation and look.
CARES
Turfgrass Artificial Grass is a synthetic exterior pavement and, therefore, it gets dirty as it is exposed in the open and its look can tarnish.
So, it is neessary to take certain measures for its conservation:
CLEAN
The dirt which is accumulated in Turfgrass Artificial Grass such as dust, animal stools, liquids spillage, etc., must be eliminated by a short sprinkling or with a simple cleaning with a hose.
BRUSH AND BALLAST
A constant people traffic and/or strong rain or wind may cause the displacement of the silica sand filling and the flattening of the artificial grass fibers. As a solution, the Artificial Grass fibers must be brushed against the nap and the surface will be ballasted partially again to achieve a regular surface and help the fibers to recover its vertical position.
REFRESH
As it is a synthetic product, the Artificial Grass, especially during summer seasons, increases its temperature due to the sun. To refresh the grass, spray irrigation is recommended (or hose) for two minutes. The silica sand filling will retain the damp, conditioning the grass to be enjoyed.
WATCH
Even with a good installation of Turfgrass Artificial Grass, there are times when grass may appear if the product has been placed on a natural surface. An excess of damp can also trigger the appearance of fungus. Nature is very wise! For its elimination or prevention, it is recommended to spray the surface with any type of weed killer or soft fungicide or diluted in water.
PREVENT
We must not forget that the grass we are talking about is artificial, so any improper use may be harmful to itself.
Although Turfgrass Artificial Grass is highly resistant to UV rays, it is not to heat sources, it may melt if the temperature rises more than 80oC.
NOTE: If there is any irregularity which is not described in this text, please tell the distributor or put in direct contact with Turfgrass.
SPORTS ARTIFICIAL GRASS
In the case of sports installations, the maintenance of Artificial Grass depends greatly on the pavement use frequence.
It is important to take into account that, once installed, the Sports Artificial Grass has sand and/or rubber filling, necessary to reduce the fibers waste and secure the good behaviour of the game field which must also be taken care of.
It is necessary to carry out maintenance actions on Artificial Grass surfaces, then, although the installation of this product reduces to 30 times the costs which would suppose the conservation of natural grass and increases, up to 5 times, the hours of use, a bad state of the synthetic grass may originate extra efforts and physical problems to the players, irregularities in the natural development of the game and an early wear of the fibers.
Every manufacturer who appreciates himself recommends a periodical maintenance in sports installations of artificial Grass and to avoid any type of problems, with the help of a specialized company, is the best choice to prolongue the life of the product at the maximum and make profitable the investment which supposes the installation of Artificial Grass.
