INNOVATING THE PRODUCT

In Turfgrass, we are an ambicious team dedicated to invent new alternatives and, as customer, you will form part of it. In Turfgrass we are all ears and deal with the proposals and advices of our customers, installers and final users for the creation and improvement of Artificial Grass products.

Later, having the experience and knowledge of our suppliers, we collaborate closely with them to find the new technical solutions.

 

COMPONENTS SELECTION

For the achievement of an extraordinary natural simulation of Artificial Grass and a suitable product quality and resistance, Turfgrass later selects the different options to incorporate them to their products: the fibers and primary base over which these are attached.

 

DESIGN AND PRODUCT PROTOTYPE

With a preconceived design idea, we make several prototypes to find the result and balance we are looking for: resistance, durability and realism.

Once achieved, it is introduced to the customers and it gives way to production.

 

MANUFACTURE PROCESS

TUFTING SECTION

Once the cones or reels are placed in the creel of the tufting machine, the threads which will form the grass are individually conducted by a series of tubes to each one of the needles, which are placed along the 4 meters width of the loom.

At the same time, the machine is fed by a backing (primary base) of the same width, which will act as support.

Done these, the weaving of the artificial grass follows.

As the needles insert the threads through the primary base, several curls form which are cut through blades adhered to some hooks. Meanwhile, Turfgrass operators control at every moment the machine work, performing a strict quality analysis.

Later, the tufted grass is placed in cars and transported to give way to the finish process.

 

FINISH PROCESS

This manufacture phase gives way to the finish process of the Artificial Grass.

Firstly, and with the aim to join the thread with the primary support, a foam machine of top technology deposits a thin polyurethane layer on the back of the synthetic grass. This foam machine regulates and controls the quantity and quality of the product you want to use.

Next, to cure the grass, this is taken to the drying furnace at medium temperatures. Once out, small holes are made in the backing to allow drainage once installed.

 

FINAL INSPECTION, PACKING AND TRANSPORT

Before its packing, Turfgrass Artificial Grass is checked meter by meter under a powerful light to check its quality.

Lastly, the grass is packed in rolls, individually labelled showing reference and  meters (special or standard).

The grass is ready to start its trip.
