TURFGRASS AT THE ISABEL II CANAL
Work has been going on since April on the installation of 40,000 square metres of Turfgrass Artificial Grass, as part of the new facilities being carried out for Madrid’s Isabel II Canal.
Turfgrass has designed and woven a special artificial grass for this.
ACCIONA
The work is being carried out by Acciona, one of the largest Spanish companies, a leader in the development and running of infrastructure, renewable energy, water, services and sustainable development.
On the 26th of January, we received a visit at our facilities from Acciona executives: Luis Casas López-Amor (Manager of Works), Ángel Moraleja Gómez (Assistant Manager of Works), Alfonso Rozpide Urreiztieta, Francisco García Figueroa and Luis del Valle Rubio (Acciona Infrastructure).
One of the main reasons why Turfgrass was chosen to manufacture this particular artificial grass was because of the company’s special POLYURETHANE finish, which does not wear or leave residues that can affect water passing through.
Turfgrass is a European pioneer when it comes to finishing all its products with a layer of Polyurethane to guarantee the perfect union of the artificial grass to the primary layer. This improves the base’s strength, grip, durability and water solubility, offering 100% resistance.
CANAL ISABEL II
Canal Isabel II (also known as CYII) is the company that has taken on the integrated management of the water cycle in practically the whole of Madrid Region. It is responsible for all the processes involved in the administration of the water resources.
